Pastor Troy Evans, Sr. Biography
A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Pastor Troy Evans, Sr. is
the founder/pastor of Christian Faith Worship Center Church International
in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He is married to Mercy Evans and they have three
beautiful children. Both love God and ministering to God's
people.
The ministry was started in 1994 in Pastor Evans' mother's
home with four members. After about eight months, the ministry
grew and moved to another location. Members are being added
constantly to the ministry and currently, there are plans to
expand the church again on 10.8 acres of land.
People have always been attracted to the simplistic teachings
taken solely from the Bible taught by Pastor Evans. It was
his radio ministry where thousands heard him that ultimately
led to the start of Christian Faith Worship Center. This
God inspired church was started with faith and belief in God's
Word. Even the church's name, spoken to Pastor Evans by God,
promotes faith. The name automatically brings unity to the
body of Christ and the name is not bound by denomination. Every
religion and denomination can relate to it.
"Faith is the foundation of Christianity and without faith being established
in the heart, the promises of God can't be manifested. So faith has to be established
and the only way faith is established is by understanding the Word of God,
because understanding is the manifestation of the blessings of God."
Every step that Pastor Evans has taken so far has been based
solely upon God's instructions. He walks by faith and not by
sight. He lives and breathes the Scripture. And he has seen
God's Word multiply, grow and prevail adding to the church
daily.
Pastor's vision for Christian Faith Worship Center is to declare
unity in the faith of the body of Christ. "I want to proclaim
unity and oneness and tear down denominations and barriers."
He also believes that with understanding comes liberty. "Where
the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty and when people
are not bound by religion they can come here and worship comfortably.
The only thing that is required at Christian Faith Worship
Center is a Bible and notepads to take notes so that individuals
can grow in the knowledge and understanding of the truth of
God's Word and His righteousness."
It is that spirit of liberty that Pastor Evans hopes will draw
people of all races, cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds.
